iomart acquires Accesspoint Technologies

On Tuesday 5th December 2023 Accesspoint Technologies Limited was acquired by iomart Group PLC.

In what is now becoming an ever demanding environment and with recent events in the Legal IT sector (particularly over the last two weeks), we feel the timing was right. Over the last 3 years, we (the directors) have been looking to find a solid home for the business to take it to the next level; whilst being sympathetic to our core values and track record in delivering excellent service levels. We wanted to make sure we found the ‘right fit’. Having had many discussions with possible suitors, our decision became easy as we realised that the opportunities for the business in partnering with iomart were many.

Yes, this is a new chapter in the company’s history, but so far as the business is concerned, it’s business as usual and nothing changes, with Victor Van der Poel still heavily involved operationally and both Richard Roebuck and Gary Shaw continuing to support him. The only difference is stronger backing and future proofing the company’s stability and success.
